Programme profile
The programme tries to answer the question whether it is really possible for everyone to profit equally from development while respecting the environment. Through fair trade, disaster preparedness, equal rights and equal opportunities VHL argues that a healthy balance between people, earth and prosperity can be achieved. The three specialisations within the programme give you the knowledge and motivation to take steps towards promoting this balance.
In this programme, you can opt to focus on reconstructing society after natural disasters, contributing to fair economic chains from producer to consumer, or developing rural areas. In all cases, you will learn to bring people together and defend their interests, while you will also be able to facilitate and support developments and innovation. The courses cover areas such as geography, biology and economics. You develop competences in intercultural communication, international cooperation and the green economy, along with business administration and project management.
