Year 1: Anatomy; Physics; Introduction to dentistry; Computer applications; Behavioural science; Ethics and law
Year 2: Cell Systems; Human immune system; Symptoms of Disease; Basic Clinical Skills; Data collection and analysis; Health and safety; Communication Skills
Years 3-5: Human diseases, including both medical and surgical aspects; Public dental health [inc disease prevention and epidemiology]; Children's dental [inc orthodontics]; Restorative dentistry, Periodontology; Prosthodontics which involves the various type of artificial; Experimental design, data collection and analysis
Progression
This programme is recognised by the General Dental Council and Irish Dental Council for registration to practise as a dentist in the UK and Ireland.
Entry Requirements
Passes in 6 recognised subjects with at least two subjects at Grade C or better in GCE A-Levels or equivalent, and at least four subjects at Grade C or better in GCE O-Levels or equivalent.
A-Level subjects to include Grade B plus Grade C in two of Biology , Chemistry & Physics. Other subjects to include Maths, English and another language.
