Trinity College was founded in 1592 a small group of Dublin citizens obtained a charter from Queen Elizabeth. It has built on its four-hundred-year-old tradition of scholarship with a mission "to confirm its position as one of the leading universities of the world, providing a liberal environment where independence of thought is highly valued and where staff and students are nurtured as individuals and are encouraged to achieve their full potential"
The university campus is situated in the centre of Dublin, in a mosaic of old stone buildings, squares, green spaces and new architecture.
Trinity has over 14,000 students studying in its three faculties: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics and Science, Health Sciences .Its students coming from over 70 countries
