Programme profile
Graduates of the Aerospace Engineering are prepared for careers in the modern aerospace industry, airlines and other industries using innovative technologies. They are also prepared to meet the needs of scientific institutions for research, design, development and maintenance of aircraft and rockets.
The programme is based on a thorough knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamics [including combustion processes], materials and manufacturing technology, with particular focus on those used in aerospace industry.
Programme content
During the first year, modules are focused on Mathematics, Physics, Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Computer Science. Students learn also about Electrical Circuits and CAD as well as a Foreign Language and non-technical subject (mostly business or economics).
The core subjects for the second year are Fundamentals of Mechanical Design, Control Engineering and a Foreign Language. Students choose their specialization from subjects such as aeronautics and astronautics.
The third year drills even deeper into areas studied. The Aeronautics programme focuses on Aeronautical Systems, the Mechanics of Flight, Materials for Aerospace Technologies, Propulsion Systems and Rotorcrafts.
The last part of the programme is devoted to supervised work on a Thesis.
