Programme profile
This programme is aimed at students who wants to know more about artificial intelligence (the study and design of computers and software that can reproduce aspects of human intelligence) in combination with the science of cognition: the study of thinking, language, learning, and mental representations in relation to other psychological processes that involve attention, observation, memory, use of language, and decision making.
In the programme, you learn everything about communication, cognition, and technological innovation. How does our brain process all the impulses which it receives? How do we save all the information and remember it? How is it possible that computers and robots show intelligent behaviour? How does communication between humans and robots work?
You will take modules in areas such as Human-Computer Interaction, Cognition & Creativity, and Games for Artificial Intelligence.
Entry Requirements
Three A-Levels (inc Maths at AS or A2) and three GCSEs
Six passes at Leaving Cert, inc 2 x H4. Hons Maths required.
