Programme profile
This programme will give you a broad knowledge of the built environment. Also, throughout the programme, you will have various specialisation opportunities. You will choose one of the following specialisations:
Strategic Designer: focusing on the integration of strategic design into the process of shaping society, in designing future cities. You will learn how to connect social sciences, an understanding of space and acquire important financial skills.
Urban Planner: you will learn to develop a long-term vision of planning while at the same time allowing scope for all stakeholders to collaborate and accomplish their own ideas. You will learn how optimise and align living, working and recreational conditions.
Manager Sustainable (Urban) Mobility: focusing on the significant behavioural changes in the field of mobility, including the growth of walking and cycling and the optimisation of public transport. You will also look at smart work & smart mobility and complete projects in traffic management, travel behaviour and safety, mobility management and road design.
Programme content
In the first and second year, you complete projects, modules, training courses and coaching sessions.
In the third year you carry out two work placements, both for three months at, for example, a traffic advisory agency. In the second semester of that year you deepen your theoretical knowledge. In the fourth year you take a number of specialist modules and work on your graduation assignment for an international company in the netherlands or abroad.
Progression
The university doesn't currently offer a related Masters programme, taught through English

2 A-Levels and 4 GCSEs or relevant BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma
Six subjects at Leaving Certificate including at least two 2 at H4, or relevant QQI/FETAC Level 5
