This programme trains students to become professionals who are well equipped to do business in several foreign languages, with business partners from different cultural backgrounds. As a graduate of the International Business & Languages programme you will act as the link between a company and the international business environment; mapping the interests of a company or organisation, setting goals and translating these into plans. Your expertise in business and marketing is given greater reach through your proficiency in at least three languages. Your role is particularly in the areas of purchasing, sales, account management and export management.
International Business & Languages graduates are much sought after as skilled communicators who can play a key role in the entire business communication. They operate in different countries and cultures. Ethical and responsible business is a key concept. Graduates have a thorough understanding of cultural foundations, quickly feel at home in other cultures and understand the (inter)cultural context in which international business is being done.
In this programme, you will learn 2 foreign languages. You must choose 1 language that you will study in an intensive track and 1 language in a regular track. The intensive track starts at the beginning of A2.2 level, which means that you must already know the basics of that language
Entry Requirements
2 A/S Levels and 4 GCSEs OR relevant BETEC Level 3 Extended Diploma
Leaving Certificate showing at least 6 subjects of which at least 2 are Higher Level subjects (at least Grade H4) Subjects to include Maths
