Programme profile
This programme gives you a great grounding for a career in business or the legal field and is highly regarded by many international companies.
Business and Law, now in its third decade of teaching at UCD, combines two of the best general degrees you can have. If you want to practise law you can do so with a sound foundation in the principles of good business. If you want to go into business you can do so with the thinking and analytical skills that come with a law degree.
As a graduate you will be uniquely equipped with a comprehensive range of relevant skills to help you succeed in the legal and business fields, in Ireland or abroad.
Programme content
During your four-year programme you will study the basic principles of both business and law.
Your business studies will mirror the new BComm curriculum, which harvests the best of what has gone before and engages new themes for new times.
Your legal studies will mirror the BCL curriculum, which allows you to peruse various Pathways into Law having studied the Foundations of Legal Knowledge.
Entry Requirements
Students must present six subjects of which two must be at grade C or above at Advanced GCE (A-Level. Others must be at least at grade C or above on GCSE or Advanced Subsidiary GCE (AS) papers. The six subjects above must include:English, Mathematics and a language other than English.
