Programme profile
During the programme, you will be trained for management and consultancy positions in the hospitality and service management sector. Throughout the programme, you will be exposed to practical tasks in a hotel environment. You will work in the Stenden University of Applied Sciences hotel, a professional 4-star hotel. You will start in the operational levels (first year) and work yourself up to be a manager of a department (third year). This way, you will gain good knowledge of the skills and responsibilities required from all levels of staff in the hospitality sector.
A further attractive component of the programme is that you will have the opportunity to study (and work) at other universities in the Stenden University group, in South Africa, Qatar, Bali and Thailand. The programme has an excellent international reputation and has regularly won awards as the best International Hospitality Management programme of the Netherlands.
There is a three-year programme also available

Second & Third Year: In this phase you can specialise and put gained knowledge into practice through electives, joining courses on Stenden campuses across the world or through practical work experience. Year 2 and 3 include subjects such as financial management, human resource management, operation, marketing, law, information management, negotiation and quality control, market analysis and business plan development.
