In this programme, students learn basic business skills and acquire attitudes essential for success in today"s international enterpriseThe first year of studies offers a broad perspective on business operations. The second year of studies brings a deeper insight into international companies. At this stage, students start to create their own career path by choosing a specialisation out of four options:
The Management Consulting specialisation option concentrates on real consultative projects with external clients. Supply Chain Management focuses on transportation and warehousing issues in connection with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.Financial Management expands on business control, corporate finance, and management control systems. Marketing explores the dynamic environment of marketing strategy and planning.
In the third year students go abroad for a semester at one of TAMK's 300 partner universities worldwide. In addition, students spend a further 5 months abroad in a practical training placement. Ideally, the employer will also commission the Bachelor"s Thesis: a project requiring students to apply their knowledge to solving a specific problem for a company.
TAMK"s business faculty was chosen as one of the Centres of Excellence among Universities of Applied Sciences for 2010-2012 by the Finnish Higher Education Evaluation Council.
