Programme profile

Civil engineering is an international profession that involves the design, construction, operation and improvement of the built environment. Civil engineers provide the technical expertise and management skills to plan, design, construct and maintain such facilities as buildings, bridges, water supply systems, waste treatment systems, road and rail networks, air and sea ports and, importantly, to do so in a sustainable manner to reduce the impact on the environment.

This programme provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to manage the wide range of tasks required of a Civil Engineer, including structural calculations, drawings, soil mechanics and road design. The flexibility of the programme and the variety of electives allow you to create the degree that will prepare you for the career route that you choose.
