Programme profile


The BSc in Computer Science leads to either a BSc in Computer Science; Computer Science (Web Systems Engineering), Computer Science with Chinese Studies, or Computer Science (Software Entrepreneurship).

The Software Entrepreneurship stream aims to produce graduates who, as well as expertise in software development, will have a body of complementary expertise which will enable tehm to be successful innovators and entrepreneurs in the software industry. China will be a dominant force in the IT industry in the near future, and the Computer Science with Chinese stream also aims to give graduates an appreciation for business in China and the ability to communicate in Chinese. These programmes prepare students to pursue a variety of careers as computer professionals, or, if they so wish, to engage in further study.

Entry Requirements


Students must present six subjects of which two must be at grade C or above at Advanced GCE (A-Level. The other subjects must be at least at grade C or above on GCSE or Advanced Subsidiary GCE (AS) papers. The six subjects must include: English, Mathematics and a language other than English.
